Description[]
Earrape is a term used to define purposefully distorted, annoying or overly loud sound clips and songs meant to shock listeners and sound as unbearable (and annoying) as possible. The technique started on the website YTMND, and is often found in online videos on YouTube, including screamers, YouTube Poops and montage parodies.
Minecraft[]
One more common parody found on the internet is the Minecraft theme song being played over Minecraft cursed images as the images and the song get progressively weirder and weirder. The bass of the song increases, the images get more odd.

Earrape in schools[]
These videos may be played during a class in a school for kids trying to be funny then being proceeded to be called terms such as "goofy ahh" or "unfunny" for those kids trying to be funny themselves and failing completely. This phenomenon is more common in online schools since the kids are more likely to get away with it there, but has occurred in offline school mostly in post pandemic offline classes.
