The "still does his job" meme was created in response to Rowan Country Clerk Kim Davis refusing to issue same-sex couples marriage licenses despite them being legally entitled to it. Her religious beliefs are that homosexuality is a sin, and so she refused to do her job of giving the couples these licenses. In response, the meme came up, depicting various people doing their job despite their beliefs conflicting with it. {
