Cate is the cat version of the meme known simply as: "Doge." They are shown in a few Doge memes as Doge's enemy/rival. Not much is known about Cate otherwise except that they are brown-grey, sometimes the color of doge.

Cate is also the cat of Doge's owner who is mentioned on the official (inactive) Twitter account for Doge (English). Since doge is dog with an e added to the end, cate is cat with e added to the end.

This cat is so popular he is considered a meme god and his popularity is growing immensly.
