Epic Face (also known as Awesome Face and Epic Smiley) is the name given to a round yellow-colored face, with eyes looking upward to its left and a big smiling mouth, so as to give the impression of a blissfully happy, joyful face. He is part of a face species that lives on the planet Epic World.
About[]
Due to its simplistic details and nature, the face has been manipulated and exploited greatly. It is regularly seen in popular web forums (such as SomethingAwful) as well as image boards (such as 4chan), and even occasionally on other websites (such as Roblox), in both unaltered and altered forms. It is commonly used as a reaction face “To express a high level of approval or ironically to express disdain".
Origin[]
According to gaming blog driph (administrated by Chris Ainsworth), the Awesome Face was part of a series of emoticons designed and illustrated for the Pokémon-related web forum Pokemopolis. According to the designer (whose identity is unknown), the face is best described as a “ridiculous childish glee”. It's design might be a reference to certain Pokémon such as Lavender Town GHOST and Missingno's GHOST form.
Epic Universe[]
epic face a major role as one of the main protagonists in Epic Universe. Epic Universe was a series created by Swift Vision X, which ran a total of 150 episodes (including episode 0) from March 24 2014, to October 2 2015. He alongside Weegee, Deegee, and Z-Demon had fought against many foes in order to protect not only Epic World and Geetopia, but the universe itself from dangerous foes such as Demon Weegee and Seventy-Five. During the fights they had, Awesome Face had achieved several forms with his most powerful being his Ultra form which was the strongest out the four prophesized god forms the others had meaning Weegee in his prophesized form (Aka Dark Angel Weegee) was extremely close to being as powerful as Awesome Face at the time.
